Guest guest
If anyone has any questions about Dr. Lund in Texas you should give him a call. He has been treating our son he was born on June 1, 2005. We have gone through alot of casting and should have his tenotomy in the next 2 weeks. Everything that we were told is coming through. We are waiting for the mold for his brace and shoes. Please don't hesitate to email us if you have any questions. Thanks, Sam and Theresa and our son Rowan Naomi wrote: Dr Lund isn't at ish Rite,as far as I know. He's in private practice in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. He and his partner have a site at: http://www.metrofootankle.com which mentions, right there on the front page, that they use the Ponseti method of clubfoot correction. His contact info has just been added (or is about to be added) to Dr Ponseti's list as well. Oh, and he worked ith Dr Herzenberg in Baltimore. I believe the original post, the one Kori bumped, was from someone in VA whose name I cannot recall. Her son is wearing tennis shoes mounted on a bar as his FAB. Ring any bells? Somewhat ironically, my husband worked as a cast tech in a clubfoot clinic in San when he was in the Army... Then we can at least refer the TX people to that reference.....and this new Dr. Lund at ish Rite too. Guest guest
I took my son to Dr. Lund in North Richland Hills this past Monday (he has 2 offices that he works from - the other is in Carrolton). I took Jake for a second evaluation so that I could have peace of mind that his feet are corrected. He had been treated at ish Rite in Dallas thru all of the casting and is now in the DBB 16-18/7, but no other knowledgeable doctor had ever seen his feet. Although Dr. Lund didn't treat Jake, I would highly recommend him - I was very impressed - he really seems to know the Ponseti Method and has a wonderful kind, gentle and compassionate personality. He told me that he is now certified and that he should be listed on Dr. P's website any day now. He also told me that he originally wanted to practice at ish Rite, but that at that time, they didn't do the Ponseti Method and that's the method that he wanted to practice. Thankfully, he also told me that Jake's feet look good and corrected, but he also said that the incision for his Tenotomy was made lower that it should have been and that there is some scar tissue but that it shouldn't cause any major problems. Anyway for anyone who is in Texas, Dr. Lund is an option for you and again I was very impressed. 9/30/00 8/1/04 BCF 16-18/7 > > >I write every now and then...my son has been doing great in his > new > > >shoes it's a miracle....but his left foot he walks in his walker > on > > >the side but at the doctors the other day he told us he might need > > >another achilles release....but not till after he is one which is > in > > >oct thank god we are moving in the next month from VA to San > > > >Tx any feed back...and what happens if they can't fix it will > they be > > >able too?
