Judie,

If you're only 30 lbs to goal at 8 mths out, I wouldn't worry about it! *grins*

Now, if you were only 30 lbs down and 8 mths out, that would be a problem!

Congratulations on your fantastic weight loss!

*hugs*

Judie,

I am still a bit a new post-op but I have some questions as to how

your arrived at your conclusion on 9 ounces. I saw a post from

someone who was 18 months post-op and she was 5 1/2 ounces

confirmed by surgeon. Did you weigh the oatmeal before and after

eating it? I was told by Gagner that the stomach would stretch to the

size of normal entree. I don't know what a normal entree is as I have

never had one. But I assumed that it would be about 6 ounces.I

didn't think that it could stretch to double it's new size. I am

hoping that this is not the case as 9 ounces would be a dangerous

thing for me.

I was told that my stomach was 4-5 oz at the time of my initial DS

surgery. I did the " cottage cheese " test with oatmeal three times.

The first and third times I got a stomach capacity of 10 oz, and the

second time I did the test, I got a size of 9½ oz. I first did

the test at 4-1/2 months post-op. It is still 10 oz now. I think

that is too big for this soon post-op. Dr. Welker is considering

making it smaller when I have my revision. I hope he is able to-- I

miss the quality of satiety I had as a fairly new post-op.
