Guest guest
> and that of course, brings on a whole different set of things to do, and > things to pray about.. > > what church? what pastor? what will we wear? When will we do it? Will it > coincide with the surgery.. Should I do that after or before? where will > we live? what will we drive? LOL!! We got married in my sister's back yard.. got a preacher, but if I'd known a judge would have done it, I'd have gotten a judge.. only around 60 guests, so in my op, it was PERFECT.. I had mine catered, but had I been sure it was so small (we invited ~250 people.. 80 RSVP'd yes... only ~60 showed), we might have done a potluck thing. Before or after surgery is your decision.. but it would be a great help to you to have Arno as your hubby during surgery & recovery.. he has more legal rights to participate in your care, if need be. Plus.. if you could wear it, I have a lovely wedding dress I'm willing to share..(I'd kinda like it back.. just because I love it so.. but I love the idea that it could be in another wedding..). > > Oh no.. I don't have a lot of things that a couple needs to start life > together.. **SIGH*** and last but not least.. Sweetie, that is why you have a gift registry.. Target has nice things, so do other stores..plus your list at Target is available online for those who live far away but want to send a giftie.. > > How does a couple get married, and stay married, when neither of them comes > from a particulary stable home life? Arno's parents have never divorced, > true enough.. and I come from a broken home with lots of abuse of every > sort, except sexual.. > Sweetie, Me too.. and Grimm too. We took it one step at a time.. in fact, we had both stated early in our relationship that we didn't believe in marriage.. but we changed our minds.. if he is the right fella, you will be continually amazed at how much you adore him more & more as the days pass.. I used to get all cynical at that saying, " with Love all things are possible " ... but its true. CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Also, Dr Husted's info has been added to the www.duodenalswitch.com site.. and if you want to look at my dres... http://hometown.aol.com/atrugoddes/myhomepage/profile.html Hugs, Liane =)
