Hey Everybody..

First let me welcome all of the new people to both of the WLS groups..

duodenalswitch, and _ASG...

I think that the NCDuodenalswitch group is all covered with members in both

of the main lists.. So, I am not crossposting it there.. I also would like

to apologize for lurking so much.. I have had so much going on in my life,

that breathing is a chore too

I want to give you a quick update..

I am doing fine spiritually, mentally.. physically could be better, and it

will be..

I will be having the weight loss surgery sometime in October, date yet

undetermined.. I have to find a qualified Surgeon to do the duodenal

switch.. AND he/she has to accept Medicare as the primary payee.. that is

where the stumbling block has been.. because in some states, Medicare will

pay, in others, they won't.. So.. I have narrowed the field down to 4

states..

Virginia, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Georgia.

Virginia may/may not approve.. that doctor is having troubles getting other

surgeries paid for..

the other 3 states have had medicare pay.. So that part is just OK.. still

have legwork to do.. the bad thing is that I can't afford to travel all over

the eastern seaboard to have consults with all of them to see.. Hence,

hitting the phone lines.

AND.. **DRUM ROLLLLLL** please.. ))))))))))

We got the notice today that Arno has been approved for legal entry into the

US!!!! INS finally did what they were supposed to do in March!!!

He now has to contact the Dutch consulate in Amsterdam, and continue the

processing of his visa, so that he can come here and marry little ole me..

))))))) YIPPPPEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

and that of course, brings on a whole different set of things to do, and

things to pray about..

what church? what pastor? what will we wear? When will we do it? Will it

coincide with the surgery.. Should I do that after or before? where will

we live? what will we drive?

Oh no.. I don't have a lot of things that a couple needs to start life

together.. **SIGH*** and last but not least..

How does a couple get married, and stay married, when neither of them comes

from a particulary stable home life? Arno's parents have never divorced,

true enough.. and I come from a broken home with lots of abuse of every

sort, except sexual..

HELP!! If anyone has any ideas that may can help me in all of this...

please, please either send them to me privately, or put them here.. it is

almost off topic.. but I have mentioned where I am at w/my surgery dates..

it is amazing that I have been looking into DS for a year last week, and

still am no further than I was 6 months ago. but that is only because I

didn't want to do it w/out Arno here.. So at least I can now start to pursue

it harder..

Speaking of which.. Does anyone have Sherri Carver's Doctor information? I

think she said Dr Husted when I talked to her the other night.. but I am

hoping that his information is somewhere to be found on a list.. Would the

roster have it on there?
