Guest guest
le, Please vent all you want. And please don't leave! As said, the parents here know and appreciate that there are conditions and situations in which surgery is the best and only way. The messages you were referring to were, I believe, about someone whose child had isolated clubfoot and yet whose doctor was resistant to the non- surgical method, which likely would work in that child's case. No one here, I am sure, believes that surgery is a 'quick fix'.. it was a reference to the mistaken impression that some people have that it is .. which, as you well know, it certainly is not. I'm so sorry you are having a tough time right now.. and that you and your little one has had to endure so much .. with the news that you have a knee surgery ahead. There's another mom here who is expecting a child with spina bifida and clubfoot too.. I'm sure if she sees your message she will respond. There is support here for you.. We want to help! Take care, and Claire > I just wish it was this easy for us--casting, a little snipping, > shoes with a bar, and fixed feet. Having him go through surgeries is > HELL. It is NOT a quick fix. I'm sorry, I'm just in a bad mood > because we just found out yesterday that our son has to have knee > surgery in a few weeks. And to keep reading here about surgery being > a " quick fix, " oh, it pisses me off. Sitting in the waiting room for > 3 to 5 hours, hoping he will wake up from the anesthesia, spending > the night in the hospital with kids all around you crying all night > long, the recovery time... it is NOT a quick fix and is NOT fun. > Sorry to vent. > >
