Guest guest
I have an almost 1 year old who was born with bilateral clubfeet. I've posted a couple of times before, but not lately. I was hoping someone could give me some advice on the straight last shoes. My son has been in the shoes and dbb since November and now he's just in them for the 12-16 hours. He started growing out of the shoes so I got the next size up, but I'm having major problems with them. I tie them tight, but he can get out of them. When I pull them tighter, he wakes up continuously throughout the night until I take them off. This went on for 3 nights. I finally put the old shoes back on and he's fine. The downfall is that his toes are hanging off the edge of the shoe because they are too small. I can barely get his feet in, but he's comfortable in them. He sleeps in them with no problems. Is it just that I haven't given the other shoes a chance to break in? Does this sound right? Am I doing damage by keeping him in shoes that are small? I could definitely use some advice!!
