Hey there..

I know that there is one person, altho I can not remember her name, that

uses nasal pillows on your CPAP machine. I just got that system, and

changed from the traditional sleep mask..

I like this system a lot better, cause it is lighter, and doesn't make my

eyes swell and water in the morning.. However, the inside of my nose, where

it sits is really tender after 2 days of using it.. and when I am going to

sleep at night, the air blowing in my nose, seems to burn to the point of

uncomfortableness..

Please let me know what I am doing wrong.. I can see so much potential with

this, that I am not yet ready to give up on it.. However, I have to find a

happy medium.. Also, the head gear that goes with this system..

they gave me a black soft spongy like head gear, that comes not quite to my

ears.. and my hair is very soft.. it won't stay where I put it.. Any

suggestions? Is there a type of gear that fits better?

thank you for your help.

Love

Cia

I just started using CPAP recently and use the pillows. I can't help

with the side effects, but the headgear I use sounds different, maybe.

If you start at the piece that hopds the pillows, there is a metal

band attached to it that goes straight up your forehead in a stripe to

the back of your head. Almost like a Mohican haircut. It has fairly

good grip on the back of your head. It also has two side straps that

go from the top of your head to the back of your head, one on each

side of the metal band.

As for side effects, I seem to have different ones than you do. I

get headaches and my teeth hurt. I was told that it was okay to get

used to it a little at a time. If I have to take it off during the

night, it's okay. Just try again.

Does your macjine have the humidifier attachment? Mine does. I was

just thinking that could be why your nose hurts. It could be drying

out.
