Guest guest
I don't think this is the " easy way " but it is the permanent way. That is what you should tell your friend who thinks it is the easy way. If he keeps gaining and losing the same 50 lbs, he should understand that what he is doing is not the permanent way. But if he is only 50 lbs over-weight, he won't qualify for the surgery and that may make him jealous. Hey - all those people you know who are 30 - 50 lbs over-weight may end up being jealous because the surgery isn't even an option for them now. I also read somewhere on another list that " the obese woman " may be the non-threatening female for many women friends and they may not like it when you start losing and possibly get even thinner than them! I had never thought of being the non-threatening female, but I was glad someone mentioned that. Food for thought! Jumping on an operating table and getting your insides rearranged is not the easy way out - it takes courage to do it. All I know is, after at least 25 diets in my lifetime that I can list and losing and re-gaining over 411 lbs, I cannot do another " diet " so its get this surgery or stay fat and I'd rather get the surgery.
