Guest guest
Like Steve, I second his emotion -- I too would like information on Blue Cross in California -- specifically I would like to know where the people are out there who got turned down and what their story was in the last few months (what specific plan were they on, why were they denied?). For instance, has anyone been told they were specifically turned down for DS due to malabsorption., or that it was investigative -- or what? Also, who HAS been approved in the last couple months (blue cross HMO or PPO?) And why do you think you got approved -- did you have a pile of information BEFORE you sent the authorization request, or did you have a medical group that helped, or what? I have posted before and not had the greatest luck getting information on this. I realize people may be scared, and this is very personal, but for those following the legacy of many successful surgeries, we need help. Also, many of us have been doing much more research than those before us and we might be able to shed light even for those going through their first appeal.....I for one have collected and organized a ton of stuff. We all may have something to share that will help the other. I certainly don't want to see them ban this surgery, and as I understand it, this group can help tremendously in sharing and helping the next person....I'm not talking class action anything, I'm just talking simple info sharing (names never have to be mentioned). Also, has anyone had experience with the 6-month pre-existing, when just joining as a spouse? I don't know if it's a problem, maybe someone could shed some light on that too. Willing to chat offline on any of this, if people feel this is too specific ..... Thanks so much.
