Guest guest
Ok, what does Naptown mean? Or is it a Place? Judy Dr. Baughman's office called about 10 days ago and said they had received our records and that after they reviewed the records they would call bqck with our appointment date and time. Still have not heard from them. I wrote several messages asking if they had any idea when our appointments would be so Joe could arrange for coverage at work and we could arrange for our airline tickets, still have not received an answer. I called their office and left a message early last night. Hope that he is not sick or something? I haven't had good luck with new sarc doc referrals the really great one that had joined a neuro practice here found out that his partner had a DUI the night before, so he left his partner and no one knows where he is, just vanished into thin air. My internist who has been in practice for many years usually knows the scoop on everything in the local med/surg community here, said no one knows were he is just dropped out of sight completely. Now being a type A, take hold of any task and get it over with person, I am trying to be patient. When I worked in both of the offices that I did in the past I would have been murdered if I did not respond to an email or phone call. I know patience is a virtue, but the more time we have to schedule a flight the less it will cost. Even being the passenger I am not in any condition to tackle the 11hr drive each way, and Joe said he felt the same way. And he was a long distance truck driver for about 6 years before going to Aviation School. My Internist told me to not even consider going by car or bus. I am not having near the pain since I started the MSM. Occasionally I will still need a vicodin with it but it seems like the longer I take the MSM the more my pain decreases and my need for vicodin has really decreased. Thank You Traci for the suggestion to take it. By the way if anyone belongs to COSTCO they sell by a company called Your Life. The bottle has a certification USP label that says that the ingredients have been certified to be accurate as labeled. Who knows if that means anything anyway, they are 1500mg each caplet and the recommended dose is not to exceed 8000mg per day. I think it was about $25.00 for the bottle. Well it's not raining today so Bob is outside doing some touch up to the paint work on the bumpers, He is very talented in doing all kinds of things, he has saved us lots of money and enjoys doing things like that. Well today is my Lab and IV day this afternoon. Hopefully my Hemoglobin went up a little this month. Some other news that is good is that I weighed my self yesterday and I had lost 6 more pounds, which makes it a total of 41 in the last 14 months. I am not really dieting but what I'm trying to do is eat things that are in season. Hope everyone is having a nice pain free as can be day. Can't wait to meet everyone at the Indy retreat. Bob wants to come also. Guess I should call the number you gave to register for the event. Blessings Judy in PA
Guest guest
Judy, years ago Indianapolis had a reputation as kind of a dud, as cities go. Naptown was one of the nicknames, along with India-no-place! However, it's a boomtown now, with lots of great stuff to do & see. I would give Baughman's office a couple of days; if you haven't heard back by Friday, call them again, in the morning in possible, & explain that you don't want to pester them, but getting plane tickets is an issue & you need to work on that as soon as possible. Also ask about hotels & transportation when you do talk to his secretary/assistant, if you haven't already checked on that. Great news about the MSM. I couldn't get the powder down, but maybe I'll try the caplets. I don't belong to Costco, but I think my son does. Thanks for the info. Ramblin' Rose Moderator A merry heart is good medicine.
