Guest guest
Hi My son is 26 mos. I spoke to the neurologist again on Friday and he still feels that it is best to do the MRI and to do it under anesthesia. My son has been under anesthesia several times for GI procedures and does not come out of it well. THey now have to intubate him when they do it, but they still feel that it is necessary. Thanks for the info...I think he did have propofol the first time they put him under and that was the one that he had such a hard time with...hmmmm. Guest guest
I would always use mito precautions. My kids have both had apnea with surgery and I just don't see the need to do anything other than use mito precautions. The last time we did it the anesthesiologist was a bit hot--they have to purge the equipment and set things up a bit differently with mito precautions. We used malignant hyperthermia precautions and won't let them use propofol.
