,

I'll preface myself by saying that I am a lawyer. I tend to think that the

reason there are 2 billion lawyers is because of late there have been 4

billion ways invented to screw the common man. Insurance is one of the

prime categories. You can appeal on your own but the fact is that a lawyer

will do it better, faster and more accurately than you can, unless you spend

your work life battling with insurance companies for coverage.

You are having this surgery because your health demands it. I can't say if

this is true for you, but for me, I look at the surgery as saving my life.

I would hire a lawyer to save my life. If it costs me a few hundred bucks

it's worth it. Three years from now when I was thinner, healthier, not (for

example) sleeping with a CPAP, living o hypertension medusa or planning out

my daily activities so that I never have to climb two flights of stairs in

my house at the same time, I would regard the lawyer's fee as the best

investment I ever made.

And no, this is NOT a public service announcement from the American Bar

Association!

> pardon me...that should have been " hypertension meds " not

" hypertension

> medusa " . Damned spellcheck.

Hmmn.. I just figured that was the way that it made you feel, lol...

Hugs,

Liane =D
