Guest guest
Michele, Being local to Iowa City, I haven't had to use any of the local hotels except when my family visits from out of state. Personally, I wouldn't recommend that particular place. It is not in the best area of town. It is also near the little local regional airport (does not handle passenger jets, just private planes). If you have any other questions, feel free to just ask. You can also send me your phone number and I'll be happy to call you anytime. michele_and_collin wrote: > Has anyone stayed at the is Park Inn & Suites? Guest guest
Thanks ! I was wondering why the rates were so great for such large rooms! I heard others say that stayed at the Baymont Inn and one other. I looked at the Sheraton but there prices are like $40 higher then everyone else. Which place is close enough to walk to the hospital and nice? Do you know which nice place is closest? I'm still waiting to hear back from Angel Flights for the dates so I know if we are staying 1 night or 2. Once I hear back from them I will make the reservations I'm hoping to hear back soon, they said most pilots voulunteer over the weekend. I am a member of the Hilton Honors club thing, so I could always look for a Hampton Inn there usually always decent. Michele
Guest guest
We stay at the Homestead Inn. LOVE it. Nice and clean. Good breakfast - better than most! - and it doesn't smell like a hotel if that makes sense. LOL It's so close too. LOVE IT!!! Re: Places you stayed in Iowa? Thanks ! Guest guest
Hi Chirs, do you know there website, I don't see it listed in the links page to Iowa hotels that the hospital mentioned. I'll keep on looking for it. Michele
Guest guest
Michele, you've probably seen this, but check out this link http://www.icccvb.org/wheretostay.asp Wherever you call, be sure to ask for the hospital rate.. We've stayed at the Holiday Inn Conference Center.. the price goes from about $80 to 50 or so when you say you are there for a medical appt.. So be sure to ask for it! I know others who have used and like the Fairfield Inn , which has a breakfast.. the Holiday Inn does not. i'll be going in a week or so.. I'll let you know where we stay and how it is.. good luck, and Claire 6/29/00 > Hi Chirs, do you know there website, I don't see it listed in the > links page to Iowa hotels that the hospital mentioned.
