Guest guest
I'm posting this to all the groups I belong to. I had RNY on 08/19/03,went from 315 to 150, and now 164 as most of you know. I feel it has been very successful even though I have had a regain which Im working on. I have had no complications and it has been the best thing I have ever done. My question is this. My 24 year old son has severe acid reflux that has eroded his esophagus and caused polyps. No cancer detected. However, he weighs 300 pounds and also has two hernias. His doctor initially wanted to do RNY and now has decided that lapband would be the better choice. Is that true? Can anyone tell me anything about the lapband? If its not better and his insurance covers both what are his options to choose? Thanks and Huggles --- End forwarded message ---
