On a lighter note....mosquitos...and a bit of church talk

Hi! ...something I thought about a couple of hours after my daughter-in-law laughed at me for calling mosquitos...skiters. She thought it was hilarious. I told her I have many names for them...skiters, skeeters, skitos. I told her large groups of them are called skittles. She had a hoot about that. But later it made me think and wonder if , in other parts of the country, there are other nicknames for those peskies. Let me know, o.k?... The worst place to get bit is in the middle of your back and honestly I feel like they just gave me a shot back there. I am allergic to small insect bites so I swell up pretty good and it's more painful than itchy...though the middle of the back ones are the ones that itch the 'dickens' out of

me. I had a good day today cuz I felt up to getting to church which I haven't been able to get to for two months. My son plays drums on the worship team and I took my digital camera and took some pics of him. Most of them were at the end of service when noone was standing in my way(I'm in a wheelchair). So he hammed it up a little for me. They just love him and even the pastor has told me that they are so very blessed to have him play for them. He had previous training and played in the Marine Band nationally. They are always so happy to see me in church cuz they know how hard it is for me to get out of the house. They never make me feel guilty for not making it every

week and they come to visit me and even give me communion at home a couple times a year. They have even given me a project to work on at home so I can feel more a part of serving the church family, too. This particular church has alot of handicapped people...physically and mentally. Biker guys, low-income, you name it, etc. I am usually all gussied-up and alot of people are in jeans so it's a come-as-you- feel place. I was brought up to put on your best to go to church so I can't change that decades-long concept from my mind. A few people said I looked very pretty and when you usually feel like you look like the 'dickens'...it's nice to hear.
