Guest guest
Wow a size 4 sounds huge! My son turns 2 yrs old next month and is just now out growing his size 2. I " m not sure what to suggest. s. Just got the Ponseti/mitchell bar I just recieved the Ponseti/ bar in the mail, my son still has to have this cast on for another week and a half but I'm a little concerned about the bar for when I have to put it on him. First of all its so big. The shoes say size 4 on them, my son is 5 moths old and barely in a 2. The note enclosed said that they made them longer for him to have room to grow into them, but they look like they will fit him for a year or more. And why did they take impressions of his feet if they wer'nt going to send his size? And last any suggestions for me for the first couple of days? I know my son is'nt going to like this at all and I'm getting nervous. How long until he will be use to it? Thanks for the advice. By the way our trip went great it only took Dr Ponseti 14 days to fix Noah's feet without the tenotomy. I will post pictures very soon his foot looks so great! & Noah 03/20/05 LCF
Guest guest
, I can so relate. When we got our last pair that Dr. Ponseti had ordered to be 'one size bigger for growth' they were HUGE. I almost cried. Her feet were barely out of 0's and these were big 2's. UGH! So what we did is this... she has two different sized feet and yes, she's bilateral - anyway, we left one shoe the 0 for her smaller foot and put the 2 on her larger foot. Then in order to make it fit we had to use two pair of socks. We moved her other foot in to the 2 when it seemed it needed it and we use two socks in that foot now, too. I have determined that not only did they increase the length but the width and I'm going to have to be sure they don't do that next time. Anyway, we've also had to poke extra holes in them, especially at the top ankle strap in order to make them tight enough even with the two socks. But all in all it works well and I'd much rather deal with this than the stress and pain of the markell's so it is worth it to me. After all, she only wears them at night so the odd appearance of two different colored socks doesn't matter! Guest guest
My daughter Connie is 1yr just. She got a size 3 which were huge, our hospital ordered her another pair size 2 which seem ok but 4's must be enormous!!! Cant you get some smaller ones and keep these for later, they do get in the way when they are too big. Adele > Wow a size 4 sounds huge!
