Guest guest
First of all, there's nothing wrong with granola...unless you like having the roof of your mouth carved up! LOL (maybe it's just me). Second of all, I LOVE green beans right out of the can...reminds me of my elementary school cafeteria. Funny how some of these good/bad food associations develop, huh? Alyssa, Dr. Weil also recommends moving to the country so, I guess we're both screwed. maria > Only one granola head in my family......a 30 yr old niece who loves to eat > green beans out of the can! Guest guest
I did the same thing...I used to life 15 min from work....now I'm about 30-40 min depending on traffic. I live in Bellingham so traffic isnt that big a deal but I love where I live now...lots of woods, even less traffic and alot of outdoors. I think the quality of life is more about when you're home than the traveling...LOL In a message dated 8/25/01 8:34:11 AM Pacific Daylight Time, alyssaj@... writes: > No wonder my parents like him -- they live in the country!! No wonder my parents like him -- they live in the country!! Of course, my dad exchanged a 1.5 mile commute for a 50 minute commute, so I'd like to know how he improved his quality of life... alyssa
Guest guest
dad exchanged a 1.5 mile commute for a 50 minute commute, so I'd like to know how he improved his quality of life...>>> for me, it would be that Id take the time to commute as a time to " think " and do my planning. Living in the country has enormous benefits so I would do that too. I live in a very rural area (up on top of a mountain!) and I absolutly love it! Its like being in another world.....no traffic (our town has no stop lights), very friendly people who actually do care about you, fresh air and good home grown food. Those are great trade offs if you can do it. Plus, the cost of housing is cheaper away from the cities, usually. Judie

The pace here is slower, people friendlier and more trusting and the best thing is everyone knows my son, me, my parents and his aunt and uncle. He can't get away with anything...between us all we have most of the city covered...LOL I also use the drive home myself to shut down from work mode and onto personal mode...its very relaxing (because traffic isn't bad here...LOL). I had to be medicated in Seattle ....9 miles could take from 40 to 60 min. I now drive 16 miles in 25-30 min. much better!!>>> AJ
