Guest guest
With our daughter we used cornstarch to maintain her blood sugar overnight. She always has low blood sugar so we feed her a high complex carb diet throuought the day. The cornstarch takes a very long time to metabolize, therefore maintaining the b/s through the night. Unfortunatly with our daughter she needed so much that it began to make her extremely constipated. We had to stop. Without the cornstarch she commonly awakes many times a night needing something to drink to boost her back up. If for some chance she stays asleep through the night, she will awaken very sweaty, shaky and in a terrible mood until we can get the blood sugar back up.
