Guest guest
In april they are also going to change our medical insurance. I have a choice , Fee for Service, HMO, and PPO. Has anyone out there had PPO insurance, what did you think of it. We get more benefits but have to pay a copay when I go to the doctor or obtain other services. Thanks for listening to my tale of whoo (?) Can't remember how you spell that word. Also Tracie you can love Bob from a far but that's it. It took 44 years to train him. Judy, I have the PPO-- Preferred Provider Organization. I know it does have the office visit copays, but if your MD's are on the provider list-- it can really save you lots of money--even with a copay. Don't you have Medicare? If so, then this PPO would be secondary coverage to your Medicare. You'd still have the copay (but it limits to the 20% that Medicare doesn't pay, so a regular office exam may be $10 or so for the copay/co-insurance amount, instead of a $20 or $40 office visit copay). As far as drug coverage tiers- we've got that also. I hate that diabetic supplies and insulin are considered non-formulary. This is one issue we need to bring to our Congressman and HR. It's bs that in this day they can screw us with that issue. There is a Senate Bill for a single payor that needs to be passed-- I think it's SB840. Anyway, about Bob-- I do understand the "training period" and that 44 years is a long time-- you've done good!! I'm still working on -- and he's got 12 more years to catch up with where Bob's at. LOL! So, I'll let you keep your's and you can have mine too!!! Hugs, Tracie Who's never won? Biggest Grammy Award surprises of all time on AOL Music. Guest guest
We’ve had HMO and PPO’s for a long time, some are better then others, the main thing is to make sure your doctors on their list, because if they are not you will have to pay higher Co-pay, or higher percentage, so check on that. Then it’s either straight Co-pay or Co-pay and percentage, this time we have Co-pay after the deductible is met, which means the first (for us) is a $500 deductible. So those are the things to check on, hope this helps, Marla From: Neurosarcoidosis [mailto:Neurosarcoidosis ] On Behalf Of tiodaat@...
