Guest guest
Hey Donna, Since you have your own business, have you looked into coverage for yourself under a "business" plan? So the allimony does help, but it's still a lot of money for health coverage. He is being more than fair and has to have enough money to live on also, especially since he really can't cope with any work situation and what pension he has left will be just enough to make it month to month. I on the other hand can work more if needed. Thanks for your thoughts, things are easy, but with time and prayers all will get worked out for everyone. Take care. Guest guest
Donna - I hope you don't mind if I chime in here - and I'm not sure how pertinent this will be to you for forgive me in advance if this doesn't apply to you: I have Kaiser's "conversion" coverage and I pay approximately $385 per month, including medications which would normally cost me around $800 per month if I had to get them on my own.. I am a kidney transplant patient and also looking to have a gastric bypass and I have no trouble with my coverage. If they can take me, believe me, they should take anyone! I hope this will help. in Cupertino

Guest guest
I have looked into it but the cost isn't much better and medicine isn't covered, so you know how costly some medicines are. Anyways I faxed in my Conversion plan to Kaiser today, I have faith and am praying there's not a problem and I will be back on coverage by April 1st. Just in time to see Dr Baggs on the 13th, my 1 year is April 11th. It will all work out! Guest guest
I just looked at the Conversion Plan it's $385 age 40-49years. I'm already 50 so is $506 at age 50-64 years. So when you turn 50 will it increase? Hope not but am courious, just trying to get all the information I can. Working through alot at this time. Thanks for your help. Let me know about the rate. If it does change atleast I have 14 years before I have to worry again then it will have to be medicare or something, because at 65 and up it $994 now a month. I won't think that far ahead, I have enough on my plate right now. (NO FOOD, just life)! KEEP SMILING and GETTING ALONG. Take care.
