Guest guest
YEAY ! Starbucks is EVIL! TOM? Reminds me of a story a friend tells on herself. She was in her teens, tears running down her face, yelling at her mother " I am not either under the influence of hormones! " Is that an inner child or an inner teenager? Guest guest
I've been drinking a non-fat decaf sugarfree hazelnut or vanilla latte with no problems. 120 calories I think for a tall and I cant usually finish that. Guest guest
Depends on YOU. Some can handle an occasional Starbucks treat, some can't. Some of us find that once in a while turns into once a day turns into a couple or a few or several a day. Some can handle caffeine, some can't. I'm fortunate in that I've never been a fan of the frappachino type drinks. Give me coffee and anything else is optional. Guest guest
LOL a little of both!! Guest guest
I would say an emphatic NOT REALLY. Oh I started out innocently enough with sf vanilla or hazelnut non fat lattes...and then suddenly I found I didnt dump and was having peppermint mocha lattes...twice a day. NOPE so for me its none! > > > > Ok , today is day 10 off Starbucks!! I havent had one since Feb > 28th. > > But here is the thing....no weight change!!!! Guest guest
I have the non-fat, decaff latte. My friends keeps asking me " why bother? " I am going to try it with soy milk next time, but it does loss something in the translation. PEGGY > > > > Ok , today is day 10 off Starbucks!! Guest guest
You might not be losing at this time, but didn't you get back up to 168? So maybe they will keep you from getting higher in your weight and just maybe after TOM your weight will begin to go down. Keep pushing on and good will come. Guest guest
That's great, ! You'll make a breakthrough soon, I'm sure. Just wait a few more days. I know how you've struggled with Starbucks. I've been working my way out of a caffiene addiction lately, and I've gone down from a venti full-caff " whatever " AND a couple of diet sodas to a grande half-caff OR a diet coke maybe twice a week. . . and now I'm working my way off even that. It's tough. Something that I've realized is that for me, at least, there's a whole social and scheduling thing about Starbucks, also. It's like a ritual - I know the people, I like to sit and read a paper while I relax for 10- 15 minutes. . . it's a little break in my mostly very hectic mornings. So I've been working on what I can do to fill that void, since if I don't nurture myself a little now and then I'll end up stressing way more than is good for me. And when that happens, I really lose it. . . not good for me or anyone else! Cathy C. > > Ok , today is day 10 off Starbucks!! Guest guest
Thanks Cathy Thats what it is for me too. Its a social relaxation kinda thing. Im beginning to get frustrated though because the weight STILL isnt coming off. My daily diet consists of about 1300 calories...mostly protein shakes. Im trying to break the carb hold and doing mostly protein shakes. But Im finding the weight still wont let go. Im up to 166!! > > > > Ok , today is day 10 off Starbucks!! Guest guest
I agree about the social thing at Starbucks. I meet a friends about every two weeks and it isn't the same sipping on decaff tea but I do whaat I need to do. PEGGY > > > > Ok , today is day 10 off Starbucks!! Guest guest
One of the things I've realized is that when I feel a " social need " to go to Starbucks, I can get by with just ordering an herbal tea or even a bottle of water. And it's cheaper than the venti mochas I used to drink, too! Hang in there - I'm sure the weight will come off eventually. Cathy C. > > Thanks Cathy > > Thats what it is for me too.
