Confused about the Complexes

This past week I was told my daughter had Complex I deficiency but

the geneticist just sent me all of the paperwork and she said she

also has Complex IV. Does it make it any worse that she has two of

the complexes instead of one?

Hey Jessy,

didn't know if you ever got an answer, so I am going to suggest that you go to www.umdf.gov and look up some of the information they have there. Also suggest you ask the doctor to explain what each is and the differences. It might make it easier for you to write down your questions when you think of them, then when you go to the doctor you can write down the answers as you ask the questions.

Hi Jessy, All the complex disorders are caused ultimately because of a defect in the main bodies respiratory chain. Having two complex's is no doubt better than all 5 in one but can cause varieties in the respiratory system , thus, causeing different areas of problems. My son, had a constant cold, even in the summer, had RSV and pneumonia every winter or spring, which was all due to the defects in his resp. chain not just in the viruses floating around.

Depending on which complex's are affected, this determines the levels of mild to severly.
