Swelling Concern

I am having a concern about my daughters foot. She has been out of her Tonotomy

cast now for 4 days. He foot is NOT fully corrected. We are in the process of

getting $ to see Dr. Ponseti. Anyhow, her ankle seemed to be a bit puffy, but

over the last couple days it has gotten better. She was in the Markell's for the

1st 3 days. HORRIBLE EXPIERENCE! They are like a torchure device for kids with

A-Typical like her! Anyways, She has been wearing her s all day

today...WONDERFUL THEY ARE! After giving her a bath this evening after her being

cranky, but not having the Mithcells on for about an hour at this point, I

noticed she has a red mark and a little puffy where the middle strap would be.

This didnt concern me too much as what else I noticed. Th ewhole top of her foot

is real swollen. Seemed to come in in just a day. I honestly dont think its from

the s, but I dont know what caused this! Its making me worry a bit if

something unseen is damaged in there from the idiot Dr.

I had! Anyone else have this expierence? What was it from? Any suggestions? I

am not going to put her s back on for the night as I dont want the

swelling to increase. So I am going to see what it looks like in the morning.

Please let me know if you think I should be concerned about this!. THanks

Christee, I just wanted to tell you the best thing we ever did was come

here to Iowa. I seriously have like $4 bucks in my purse. Don't worry

and just come it will work out. Call Angel Flights and try to just

come and not worry about the $$$. I know its sounds easy to say but we

did it and it really is working, it was tought but well worth it. We

were suppossed to only be here 3 nights I think it's already been like

9? And we are not done yet. The MCdonald house is $15/night,

but I heard some families here make deals for less I'm sure you could

call and tell them your situation and they will help you out. There is

also a food pantry here. Collin & I have been eating out of that and

we are still doing fine, we are actually going to bake cookies today

from there! We did goto the grocery store once and picked up a few

small things to supplement but even if we didn't you wouldn't go hungry

here. Please just come I've been following your posts and I just want

you to know its going to work out if you come. Please try not to worry

about the $$'s. If you want e-mail me personally as I don't always

have time to check the boards now.

we found it kind of fun eating out of the pantry there cuz it was tons

of food we never find or have at home. haha
