Bummer Geri-Anne! I had great hopes for Wyatt's seizures being controlled.

Thanks for the heads up. The last thing we need is sleep problems.

We meet with the neuro on the 26th so I am really going to pick his brain

and see what exactly we should do. Knock on wood, the girls' seizures

haven't been too bad as of late. We still see more than we should but I

will take small improvements. I see them a lot when they get worked up (you

know like if I don't get the TV turned to Dora in time...)

Unfortunately it's going to be cold here the next few days too. Luckily,

not quite as cold as it will be for you Minnesotans. Bundle up!

Hi Geri-Anne,

I just saw Chelsea's pulm and we discussed the sleep issue. Chelsea had been having a lot of problems with not sleeping and then seizures. The cause fro her was a double whammy as she is on Lamictal and it is a sx of RS. Anyway, her pulm ok'd trying melatonin before bed to see if that helps. I started giving her 3mg with her bedtime snack last thurs and she has been sleeping all nite, thru the nite since. (and I was told it might take a few weeks to have an effect).

Melatonin is naturally produced in the brain, and should be safe to try. Let me know if you have any ?'s.
