Guest guest
Hi, everyone - I just got my 'official' six month post-op checkup with Dr. Herron (Dr. Gagner is out of the country and he confirmed I should see Dr. H since I've been having some upper back pressure/aches). My labs are all.... normal! How wonderful to hear that word -- Actually, I think Dr. Herron said 'totally normal'!!! My calcium, which was about .02 below normal range is now fine. So is everything else. Since my labwork was fine Dr. Herron didn't think my upper back pressure/ache is from a blocked biliary limb or even kidney stones/problems. He thinks it's muscular. It isn't constant or unbearable so perhaps it is my muscles... WHAT A RELIEF!!!! Anyway, it's so GREAT to be alive! I decided to drop in at what I thought was a post-op DS meeting at NYU.. turns out it was a post-op lapband meeting. The DS is on the FIRST THursday of the month and the electronic posting they sent out is inaccurate... I even had to go to a different building! I was looking forward to seeing Deb, Jill and others... Maybe next month. LOL I got to meet Dr. Ren, though and learn more about the lapband. We went to our favorite Chinese restaurant near NYU -- Golden Dragon. They have this massive three-dish plate for only 14.95... as I was eating my beef and broccoli, chicken and eggplant dishes... I thought THIS is why I got the DS, man!!! HOW GLORIOUS!!! Not to mention DELICIOUS! LOL All the best, lap ds with gallbladder removal january 25, 2001 Dr. Gagner/Mt. Sinai/NYC six months post-op and still feelin' fabu! pre-op: 307 lbs/bmi 45 now: 230 (damn plateau is still hangin' around!)
