Guest guest
Those of you who have known us for the past couple of years understand why this day is SOOOOOOOOOO precious to us! I am so thrilled to see her turning five and to be seeing her doing better than ever. As long as she is on her steroid treatment plan, she rarely has stroke episodes and when she does they are pretty minor ones. Each day holds the unknown and at times I still hold back my fears knowing there is still four narrow arteries in her brain and of course the ever unknowing course of Mito as it is... But for now, I am just overjoyed that she is getting to be such a big girl. I just wanted to share with you all our joy. Nothing major planned this year for celebrating, just mommy, daddy, all the kids, and Asi. We will take her to a restaurant to celebrate and then return home for cake and ice cream as well as going to Toys-R-Us which she is looking forward to. Hoping to avoid the viruses there as we already have three kids with croupy coughs. But Asenath thus far is fine at least. Hope you enjoy the photo I enclosed. It is of Asenath and Kezia dressing up in play clothes which was taken recently. Guest guest
Darla: Cheers, congrats, blessings to you and your family on this major achievement. I remember when you first posted and the concerns you had about Asenath. And to see these photos are truly amazing and a miracle; you could say. I don't know; it sounds like a major celebration when you think of the size of your family your could have one fun party. We never do anything real big with our kids. Mostly family. We go out to a restaurant of the kids choice which is usually never Mcs or such. Red Lobster or a Asian restaurant. Toys r us is a fun place. Take the purell with you. What toy did she pick out? With the average child birthdays are special; but with our kids they are more than special; they are unique and truly a celebration. What a happy day. " We are family " is the song for you guys. Guest guest
That is so awesome Darla! I hope you all had a wonderful day, and Asi felt like a perfect little princess! I always forget that our girls' birthdays are close together, Chelsea turned 8 on the 27th of feb. We took her to Toys'R'Us as well and spent a leftover christmas gift card. Jeff wheeled her thru the Barbie aisle, and when he turned the corner, her noticed her eye had been caught by a Mulan princess doll, which she proudly carried thru the store ( & dropped 100 times!) She really can't play with barbie's, but loves them so, oh well, as long as she is happy! I so loved the pic of your girls, they were just adorable! You'd better be careful when Kezia gets older, she is going to be a knock out! Sorry this is such a late response, I have been down with the flu, and now Chels has it, unfortunalty=( We had to postpone her bday party at the butterfly gardens until next Sat, but the people who helped me set it up were very gracious in rescheduling! Wishing Asi many, many more Happy Birthdays!!!!! e, Chelsea's mom, Atypical Rett Syndrome, (FKA nonspecific mito)
