Monday Night Mito Chats at MDA Site Could Be Discontinued Without Your Help

I have to say that I was disappointed yesterday when I sent the

message to this group and to the Mitoldies group requesting

assistance with moderating the MDA Chats. Out of two groups with

over 1000 total memberships, I received 1 answer for a volunteer.

Unfortunately, this is not enough. The MDA requires moderators for

their chats thus this may be a signal to me to end those Monday

night chats. I personally am not able to be a regular chat host

because of my own medical issues. Cindy has family responsibilities

on Monday nights. Laurie and Kristie have been handling the job

pretty much every week but this is too much for them and it's not

really fair to expect them to do it. There have been many new faces

in the chat over the last few weeks. You can witness this by

I frequently line up guest physicians who chat with the group and we

have a guest physician scheduled for 3/21. Her specialty is

Endocrinology and Metabolism. Previous guests have been Dr Cohen,

Dr Boles, Dr Saneto and many other well known mito doctors but the

upcoming guest chat could very well be the last without your help.

The lack of response tells me that there isn't enough interest in

the chat to keep it going. If I am unable to find at least 2 more

volunteers, I am going to request that the Mito chat on the MDA site

is dissolved.
