Food and liquid after surgery

Hi- I feel like I am posting endless questions lately...lol. I

watched that MSNBC show on WLS surgery tonight and although I realize

they were dealing with the RnY, it did raise a question for me. How

soon after surgery can you drink water? How soon after surgery can

you eat...and what types of food for the first couple of weeks. Is

it the same as the RnY initially or is the DS experience completely

different from the time you wake up in recovery? You have all

probably answered this a million times, but I would appreciate all

the info you can tell me.
