Guest guest
Just cut a little diamond or square out of the pad in a bandaid. Make sure you leave a bit of the pad around the blister. Just kinda make a hole in the middle. Same idea as the donut pads, maybe not so thick, but will work in a pinch. We have healed a few blisters this way. Kori, blister info I just wanted to find out what you have done about the P/M's. How is Darbi's blisters? Also, I was wondering what type of bandage you were using on them. Dr. Lamm (Dr. H's colleague)said that I shouldn't use any type of direct bandage/bandaid on the blister because the pressure directly on the blister or scab will just make it worse. Instead, he said to use a donut type pad that would go around the blister hence keeping the direct pressure off the blister and allowing it to heal. It makes complete sense and I can't believe this info has never come up on this board before. I just received this info so I haven't tried it yet. Oh crap! I was suppose to pick the donut pads up on lunch hour today. Darn it! Now I have to drag the kids out in the rain to pick them up. Anyway, I plan to give it a try. Since 's blisters haven't healed in 2 months, I am willing to try yet one more thing. So far, the P/M's are great. She hasn't cried once because of pain so I know they are better. Now if I can get the blister to heal, we will be back in business. and 03-02-04, bcf, s 15 hrs.

They called yesterday and Darbi's shoes are ready. They needed my address. So I expect them either today or tomorrow. Probably tomorrow since it was afternoon here PST when they called. Did you send back your old shoes? >Also, I was wondering what type of bandage you were using on them. Just bandaids and I tried the DuoDerm one time too but mom took it off when she was there. >Dr. Lamm (Dr. H's colleague)said that I shouldn't use any type of >direct bandage/bandaid on the blister because the pressure directly >on the blister or scab will just make it worse. makes sense. But they are worse when I don't use anything. Well, maybe not worse but she can't handle the pain. > Instead, he said to >use a donut type pad that would go around the blister hence keeping >the direct pressure off the blister and allowing it to heal. I tried it with mole foam (cut my own donuts) when Darbi had her major sore in the Markell's but that didn't work either. What happened was the moisture would gather inside the hole and the sore would push out in the inner circle and rub anyway. But yeah, for a sore that is better healed it probably would work well. You have to make sure you don't get the ones that are for corns because most of them have sacylic (sp?) acid in them and that's not good at all. I think you can buy them without that stuff. > I just received this info so I haven't tried >it yet. Oh crap! I was suppose to pick the donut pads up on lunch >hour today. Darn it! I can't wait and if doesn't need these back, I think I'll chop out the back so she can heal before I put her new shoes on. Hey, that's an idea... have you send him back the shoes yet? Guest guest
I already sent back the P/M's to . If he doesn't need them, cutting out the back is a good idea, but with what? That rubber is super thick! Shook Retail Operations Manager/Baking Instructor Vie de France Yamazaki, Inc. 2070 Chain Bridge Rd.
