Guest guest
Anyone on the list have any pull with Carnival Cruise Lines? I just found out from my father-in-law that we are going to be unable to go on the cruise we have been planning for months. He had pulled it together through his travel agent and EVERYONE in the family is going to be there, except for us I guess. Turns out Janelyse is too young to go (by about 10 days!!!!!). They have to be 4 months old and even though she'll be 16 weeks old when we were scheduled to leave she isn't technically 4 calendar months. We were supposed to leave on the 16th and was born on March 25. I am so bummed. There were supposed to be approximately 20 of us. I guess this is just a Carnival policy, but surely they could bend the rules just a little! The thing that's awful is that if we had known 2 months ago when this was all finalized the trip could've been moved out a week or two to accommodate, but now that it's a week out everyone from out of town has airplane tickets, people have off work, the dentist in the family has scheduled no patients that week, etc. It's just impossible for everyone to change at this late notice. I think it's the travel agents fault for not informing us right away, though I guess my FIL knew a month ago this might happen, but since they are such good customers he was thinking they might be able to pull some strings. (He and his family take a trip at least every other month - and cool stuff like African Safaris, European cruises, etc.) UGH...so much for our summer vacation. This stinks....
