Guest guest
Well here I am again (Just a little back ground) My surgery was on August 7th I came home on August 10th and went back to the hospital ER on August 11th. I believe my niece posted a message stating that I was back in the hospital. My doctor has determined that my stomach if over-extended and therefore is not functioning properly. Whatever I eat stays in the stomach until I vomit or it is removed. He has sent me home today Thursday August 16 with a protein IV and instructions not to eat. I can have very few ice chips and only enough water to take the medication. My next appointment is on Wednesday. IF I have not had any vomiting over the weekend then he wants to run another Upper GI (you know the nasty barium drink) test. He is hoping that the stomach will heal its self rather than have to go in and fix it. My question is has anyone else run into this?? If so can you tell me what to expect?
