Guest guest
Ok everyone. Here's the scoop, I'm not sure if it's program worthy, but he wants a donation made to University of Iowa Foundation : Clubfoot Clinic Fund. They just bought a new press for (he's working on a new shoe with quick release). The money to this foundation goes to research and developement for new shoes/braces; it helps pay for shoes and braces for the poor... or people who can't afford 's; it goes to developement to clubfoot projects in 3rd world countries; and it goes to bringing in doctors to train with Ponseti from 3rd world countries. That's his wish... this foundation does a lot. Maybe NBC will bite.... It's not remodeling, or building, but it's worthy... It's a big impact. We can try, right? By the way, when I spoke with him, he had just viewed the video I sent him of gabe's feet while walking. To my surprise, he was quite excited about Gabe's progress. He did notice some inversion in the left heel, but he said the more he walks the better it will probably get. He no longer believes Gabe will need the ATT. Gabe was one of his most difficult patients, so he's pretty thrilled to see the results of his work come out so well. Lastly, and even more exciting, Gabe started walking too! He will only take about 10 steps before he freaks out and falls down, but he'll be running in days I think. Yippee! Life just got a tiny bit easier! Guest guest
Faith, First, Yippee on Gabe's walking! I'm so glad for you and happy that Dr. Ponseti is pleased with Gabe's progress -- and hopefully no ATTT, yeah! Secondly, on the wish, I think we could submit this and maybe add in whatever we think is most likely to catch their attention whether it is a renovation for the clinics or something else -- I kind of think there has to be something tangible for the show to " show off " for them to bite. What does everyone else think? > Ok everyone. Here's the scoop, I'm not sure if it's program worthy, but he wants a donation made to University of Iowa Foundation : Clubfoot Clinic Fund.
