Guest guest
, I sent in our appeal about 3 weeks ago and haven't heard anything. I spoke to one of the Tricare reps and they said the only brace that was covered was some brace that went up the leg.... I can only assumed that they meant the old polio-type braces that now you only see in pictures. What a joke! Anyway, I know the coides are wrong and the 22.000 was probably for the impression kit. That is all they reembursed us for on the first claim. We didn't get reembursed for the bar, because we didn't know the code for it at the time. On our first pair of shoes, gave us a handwritten invoice and i wasn't even aware that he had a separate code for it as he just billed 350$ for L3252. So.... I sent in a letter of necessity from Dr Ponseti , the pamphlet that comes with the shoes now, a personal letter from us, copies of original claims, and photos of Gabe wearing the brace. Hopefully, I'll hear something soon. boothejennifer wrote:Faith and anyone that has been having trouble w/tricare covering the s. I wanted to put the codes on here and if anyone would like to know the proper procedures that need to be followed feel free to email me personally at boothejennifer@... Tricare is a pain in the arse so there are a bunch of steps that must be done in proper order. I did not get reimbursed for the shoes though which I am still working on. I got $86.00 for the bar which was full amount charged and $22.00 for something coded as (S0395) which I think is postage charged. Code for the bar is (L3150) Shoes were coded as (L3252) NOT covered coded this way; so I will try to get them switched to something else. Hope that may help someone out there!! Guest guest
HI I would like to put my advice in here. I got tricare to pay for the bar. But I didn't need a code I just had the military doc order it for Orthopedic's clinic. He order it then I took it to doc Ponseti. and he then set the bar. as for the shoes I have fought with them over and over again and have since given up according to them if the shoes do not cover the claf they will not cover them. so if you find away I would love to know. Thanks I hope this may help faith slattery wrote: , I sent in our appeal about 3 weeks ago and haven't heard anything.
