Guest guest
I recently had an attack of severe pain in right jawto left arm and band of pain around breasts and back.Er hospital not my heart but neurosarc and adrenalcrisis has anyone else had this happen? I ha , Are you on Prednisone? Did you just stop taking it cold turkey-- that is without weaning off it? That is the quickest way to put yourself into adrenal crisis. When we take steroids, our body stops producing cortisol-- our own natural steroid. We have to reteach our body to produce cortisol, or you will get the heart palpitations, the sweats, jaw and arm pain. All the classic signs of a heart attack. This does not mean that you should not get into the ER -- with those symptoms-- go to ER! What they should have you do is get back on the steroids, and then wean off-- SLOWLY! Let me know about this- is this what happened? Take care, Tracie NS Co-owner/moderatorSee what's new at AOL.com and Make AOL Your Homepage. Guest guest
Hi, It was a band of severe pain, it was so acute it's what got me to the hospital to get tests which lead them to finding my sarc. I had numbness in my jaw, but no pain there. After the "banding" pain came the severe pain in my legs. Take your meds, keep a positive attitude and this will pass. best regards, RickAnne Schmidt wrote: I recently had an attack of severe pain in right jawto left arm and band of pain around breasts and back.Er hospital not my heart but neurosarc and adrenalcrisis has anyone else had this happen? Guest guest
Anne, I just had it across my entire chest mainly on the left side. The pain was and still is sometimes excruciating. That's when they give me narcotics on top of my regular pain pills. Mine did start with pain. They still do heart tests here and there to be on the safe side though. I have to be careful not to do anything that is considered repetitive motion like vacuuming. Also not to lift anything more than 3 or 4 lbs. It doesn't take much to start it off again. When it even starts to act up I need to lay down and rest and I also do alot of praying. hugs S.Anne Schmidt wrote: I recently had an attack of severe pain in right jaw to left arm and band of pain around breasts and back.
