Guest guest
The sigmoid colon is the almost last, (prior to the rectum), section of the LARGE intestine. The DS rearranges your SMALL intestine, but leaves your large intestine alone. Hi, Does anyone know after the DS what happens in terms of having a colonoscopy? What I mean is, I just had one to get all my tests for the surgery, and there were 3 polyps found. One in the sigmoid, but the others were other places (cecum and transverse if that means anything to anyone). If I have future polyps will those be accessible for removal by a colonoscopy after the DS? Thanks, Sheryl
