Guest guest
You know the hardest part of all of this is “time†everything thinks we have time to wait but really we don’t, the longer we wait the worse we are and the more we have to fight, oh well such is life. Marla, I am so sorry that you are having to fight the insurance company to get the meds you need. Do you have a list of all the medications they have tried with you? My thought is this-- put together a letter stating that you have been on high dose steroids-- without results. You have tried (ie. Imurnan, Methotrexate, Plaquenil, etc) with little improvement. Since your sarcoidosis is still advancing, what is left to work with is the Biologicals. If you would like--send me the list, and I'll put the letter together, email it back to you, and you can copy it-- and send it as yours. These are the letters that I did when I was working Admin for many of the local docs-- and rarely did they turn the patient down. Or better yet, get me a plane ticket and a baseball bat and we'll go get some justice... Just kidding, But not on the letter, Tracie NS Co-owner/moderatorSee what's new at AOL.com and Make AOL Your Homepage.
Guest guest
Tracie, My husband is doing a letter today to send to the insurance company and I forwarded your idea to him, thank you, my doctor called him yesterday as he’s been out of town, his Mother died which is sad as his only sibling a brother died about a year ago in a motorcycle accident, and he wasn’t married so he had to take care of everything, and now his mother, how sad. I think I would feel so alone, he is married with 3 boys, and I know his wife’s sister has a few kids too. Thank you for sharing your information with me, I so appreciate you, Tracie, Marla From: Neurosarcoidosis [mailto:Neurosarcoidosis ] On Behalf Of tiodaat@...
