Guest guest
Got a phone call today from , Dr. Pomp's PA. She has everything required to submit my case to Darryl in insurance. I have PHS through NYSNA. I know others have been approved for the lap BPD/DS by PHS, but I'm still anxious about this, as I've had a prior problem with getting PHS approval for a panni in 1999. Here's hoping everything goes OK! I'm starting to get some things together to make my pre-op course easier: I've got my clip on fan (in purple), slippers, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, blow dryer and peri-bottle (for that all important " personal hygiene " ) packed. Pre-op testing will be done by my PCP on 8/13. I'm going to have my hair done and a pedicure the week before surgery. For post-op, I've ordered Devrom and am planning to start testing baby meats. I'll be cleaning the apt. and hope to have it re-painted just before I go in the hospital or else during my 4-5 day stay. I am fortunate to have a queen-sized electric bed to sleep in, so I won't have to sleep flat immediately after surgery. Anybody got any other suggestions? Thanks to the ladies who permitted me to visit them in Mt. Sinai so I could get an idea of what to expect post-op--it was a big help! I'm an RN, but I've spent the last 15 years in acute and chronic home care and geri-psych, so I needed a review of Medical-Surgical Nursing.
