Guest guest
We went to the Orthopedic this morning to get fitted for our new AFO's. I let them know about how Joey has been falling alot in the last month. They noticed that his calf muscles were large. They have always been very tiny and the muscle has always been like jelly. We could not believe it would keep him up standing. They told us with muscular Dystrophy their muscles get a build up in them. Which causes them to look big and healthy. Yet they are really not. Has anyone ever had any problems with this? Is there anything we can do for it? Can we slow down the process? Does it get better? Is there a name for it, so I can read up about it. Any help would be GREAT. We are also getting non/jointed AFO's this time to see if it may help. Thanks!!! Tamara
