Guest guest
I was just curious what was a "reasonable" goal for say 1 month out? 2 months? 3 months? 6 months? Thanks! Kristie If you're a large bone person than the chart that I have which matches Richmond's says you should be 143 to 163. To me 189 sounds a little high but not all people get all the way down to goal so maybe he's being more realistic about the weight. I'm 1/4 inch shy of 5' 5" and Dr Baggs and Park both said 150 for me, and the chart says 135 to 153 for me. I am at 139 to 141 (at TOM) and I feel good and really think I'm okay not to skinny, I was going for 135 and still might just because I now after a year sometimes a few pounds come on and they are harder to get off. I used this surgery as my tool, and did every thing by the book because the first 6 months is the very best to get weight lose and you'll still lose but it really slows down after the sixth month mark. So you're doing great and I would first just work to getting to the 189 and see what you think, then decide if you want more weight off, then set a goal for 179 and when you get there decide again, until you feel good about your look, health and how hard it gets to get more weight off, you will figure it out. Your doing great. Take care. Donnahollotwomn@... wrote: I had my appt. with Dr. Dennen on Friday he says he wants me to get to 189. I started out at 311 was 277 the day of surgery and I am currently at 235 as of this morning. I am 5'7" and am currently in a size 18. He said by the charts I should be 140. Did anyone else get a big number goal from their doctor. I don't want to be real skinny I would like to stay on the thick side but I don't know 189 sounds big still to me. ANy advice?Kristie Donna JordonDSJordon@... Yahoo! ShoppingFind Great Deals on Gifts at Yahoo! Shopping
