Hi Kathy..

I was just a few pounds heavier than you when I had my surgery 7/24 of this

year. I went back to work after two weeks off...but only part time for a

week...then full time the last two weeks. Last week I was still tired at

night but this week I've been running around and doing alot more.

As for food...my mom stocked me up (I went to Spain so I wasnt here for 2

weeks) and she left eggsalad, tuna mixed up, bottled water, a container full

of chicken meat, cottage cheese, jello. You'll work up to meat and stuff so

lots of high protein foods are good...

Hope that helps a little!

Congrat's Kathy, you are going to the best doc in the world. I'm only

7 weeks post op so I can't answer most of your questions. My best

advice is to expect the unexpected!

Kathy, I am so glad you are finally getting your surgery, and with such a

wonderful surgeon!... These are the things I had at home to help:

chicken noodle soup

broth

eggs(didn't work well for me)

tuna

yogurt

I didn't really have too much trouble when I got home. I was pretty

uncomfortable for about 1 week after I got home. After that I was out and

about, shopping, etc... I started to feel very good about 4 weeks out, but I

stayed off the entire 8 weeks before I returned to work. 6 weeks is probably

a good time to expect going back to normal everyday things such as school or

work. My hair is falling out and I wonder how I can have any left, but it is

worth it. I know it will grow back eventually.
