Please put me on the Aetna List. I want to have the DS and I have Aetna PPO. Do I need to hire Walter Lindstrom? I am new to the list, I decided a week ago about the DS and Dr. in NC. Any information or help would be appreciated.

So far I have found out the following about Aetna.

About 1/3 of the individuals are approved for DS on the first try.

About 1/3 of the individuals are approved after their first appeal.

About 1/3 of the individuals were denied at least once. I can only

track 2 individuals out of 27 that went through the whole process and

were denied two or three times ( and Becki). There are several

individuals still appealing, and several have decided to self-pay.

In a couple of instances individuals have self-paid and then were

later reimbursed for most of their costs.

So the picture is not terrible. I would at least wait until the

first denial before bringing Walter into the picture.
