I have recently joined your group and am so thankful to have found

you. I was finally diagnosed with NC in Nov at Duke University Hospital

I'm currently under the care of a neurologist along with my primary

care MD. (Started out on 60 mg prednisone/day and had to reduce to 40

mg because I developed pancreatitis, cholecystitis and gallstones and

they didn't want to do surgery on the higher dose of pred) Had surgery

3 weeks ago and everything went fine. I had a follow-up MRI with

contrast this a.m. and will wait to see what the neurologist suggests

we do next. I have so many questions! Am wondering if anyone knows

about the clinic in ton. Is it an advantage to connect with a

specialist in NeuroSarc since it is relatively rare? My doctors at Duke

are great but I know none of them specializes in neurosarcoidosis.

Thanks for letting me join you,

Sharon
