Guest guest
, we haven't had any problems with sandals at all. Does walk on the outsides of his feet when barefoot? If so, you may want to get him in for a check-up as this may be an early sign of relapse. The only think I can suggest with sandals is to make sure that they are adjustable both at the ankle and at the toe - it could just be that the sandal is slipping a little under his foot because it's not tight enough. Florida and it is VERY hot here right now. has been wearing sneakers all summer and his feet get so sweaty. I bought him a pair of sandals and he seems uncomfortable wearing them. He kept trying to take them off and seemed to walk on the outside of the sandal. Do the sneakers offer more support? I wonder how the other club foot kids do with sandals. > > Thanks for any help, > > Tichauer > > 2/9/04 DBB nights > > > __________________________________________________ >
Guest guest
Hi We have long, hot summers here in South Africa and wears sandals with no problem - barefoot is good too (as Dr Ponseti told us). never walks on the outside of the sandal though - I don't know what would cause that. Does he do it when barefoot too? I always look for sandals with really well made soles that bend easily. 's sandals are usually leather and have padding in them like shoes, they're not just flat plastic (those cute, but cheap plasticky ones don't fit him comfortably). And I look for ones with a nice thick and lined strap that fits around his ankle so the sandal doesn't slip. When I find a perfect pair I buy the next size up and that usually lasts us for the whole of summer! HTH and www.clubfoot.co.za Moss STEPS CHARITY www.steps.org.za Sandals? Guest guest
kelsey LOATHES wearing sandals. When I try to put them on her she cries. I found a pair of Wee-bok ones that have a leather upper and buckle but they cover her whole foot with a closed in toe and she seems to be more comfortable in these although she still ends up wearing them with socks more often than not because that is how she is comfortable. But I figure that at least her feet are getting some air circulation. She doesn't like to be barefoot much either. She pretty much always has a sock on unless she is playing in the pool or bathtub. Guest guest
Hi , I hope all is well! Zoe wears sandals and does not have a problem. Maybe you could try a different kind. That particular pair may be bugging him for some reason. Does he only walk on the outside of his feet while wearing the sandals?
