Hello all,

First thank you everyone who responded about Will and all that is

happening with him right now.

We just got a call from Dr Shoffner 's office and is we can get there

(and get the money together) we could be seen next week. I got the

list of places that help with flights, but am not getting very far with

them. We are in Colorado so it's over 1,000 miles. Any one worked

with any of these systems and have an advice?

I know with Angel flight that the planes can only go so far without having to land and refuel and often a plane change (another pilot will take that leg of the flight)...which can mean a long trip for kids (at least mine) have a hard time traveling bc of energy issues.

I think the last time we flew to see Korson, we used a program with Northwest Airlines that was for families with sick kids. YOu paid half price of the cheapest fair...you had to sign something saying you may travel up to six times for medical treatment in the year. The lady told me they don't hold you to it...you could just tell them that depending on the results, you might be going to see a specialist...you are just going to a diagnostician this time.

Another thing we did...people donated their FF miles to us...also had someone give a free flight gift certificate they had won. You could email all your friends and family and tell them that you can take him next week if you can get there...ask if they know anyone willing to donate miles to you. Also, all the airlines are having major sales right now, so if you can get enough funds together, that might be worth checking into.
