Guest guest
I would be very worried about that type of hauler. If you have a scooter and not a power chair, there is an electric scooter lift that will go into the trunk of a vehicle.I also know there is a spring form ramp that is outside the van and uses a trailer hitch. It also has a swing out arm so you can operate the lift gate.I know there is also a trailer called USA TOTE. Sharon L. Schuckman sharupac@... Car AccidentCan't remember if I mentioned that our car was totaled on Sept.25th.The car was totaled and with it went my scooter lift. My scooter is in the scooter hospital. We were able to purchase another car which is a 2004 Ford Freestar limited. Of course the insurance com[pany payment was no where what the car cost.We are now looking for a scooter lift. We met someone at the conference that is in a electric wheel chair. They have a ramp that you drive the chair up into the car. The ramp folds in 4. That is a less expensive option but I really would rather have a lift I could handle myself. But that would be about 2500 to 3000 dollars, I applyed for a zero persent credit card that would stay at zero% until Octoober of 2008.Now the dilema to pay less for the ramps or to get thenice ramps which run about $2500.00. Anyone with experience with the ramps or anyone wanting to vote on which one they think should get. I need some help with this decision.Judy in PAJudy in PA~~~~ *** ~~~ *** ~~~ *** ~~~~The Neurosarcoidosis CommunityNS CHAT:- FAITH CHAT: SUNDAY 4PM-5PM EASTERN TIME CHATROOM LINK: http://www.emxpc. net/chat/ index.php Message Archives:-http://groups. yahoo.com/ group/Neurosarco idosis/messagesMembers Database:-Listings of locations, phone numbers, and instant messengers.http://groups. yahoo.com/ group/Neurosarco idosis/database
Guest guest
Sharon I saw the other day a chair hauler that sits on top of the car. It pulls the chair up and into a box. Have you seen this one or do you know where to look for one. I thought if I had this I could drive my car again as I am having it fixed for manual brakes. I have only driven once in almost 3 years and for someone as indipendent as I was it is so hard to have a driver all the time. I always feel like I am putting people out asking them to take me here or take me there. I can get into my car by myself the foot just don't work too well on the brake. So going is easy----stopping is a bummer. Any help anyone could give me would be great. Thanks and hugs Jackie Car AccidentCan't remember if I mentioned that our car was totaled on Sept.25th.The car was totaled and with it went my scooter lift.
