Guest guest
Okay, here is the process I have had to do: 1. Approval Letter (after 2 denials) 2. Psych. Appt. 3. Surgeon Consultation My question, why a consultation before orientation? Was told to bring a support person and the appt. would be 45 min. Anybody have any idea what will be done at this appt?? Guest guest
The surgeon goes over the risk of the surgery, your health problems, what may be helped and not helped. Looks at what has been said by dietitian and pysch doctor and sees what you think. Have any questions you can think of to ask. They just want to make sure you have a support person and that they are willing to come to the appointment and be there for you during this journey. If they don't go you will get a lecture, believe me. My husband came down with the flu and drove me but stayed in the car. I told Dr Baggs lets walk to the car, so he could see, he said no, but he better be there at the next surgeon consultation and he was and all was fine. Hope this helps. Take care.
