IDA reaches out to support groups and foundations with encouragement, compassion and lots of information about Invisible Disabilities! In 2007, IDA attended The Neighbors in Health Fair sponsored by Kaiser Permanente and the Beyond Pain Seminars sponsored by the Progressive Health Center. Wayne also had the opportunity to talk about debilitating chronic illness and pain when he was the KOSI 101.1 Radio DJ for the Day. Sherri Connell was a guest speaker for an online workshop for The National Invisible Chronic Illness Awareness Week. She uploaded a short presentation on September 14th. Sherri rarely does anything like this, because of her illness. She is still " paying " for the endeavor, but was honored to do it. This year, Wayne also had the privilege to be the guest speaker for the Sjogren's Syndrome Foundation in January. UPCOMING SEMINARS: Wayne will be the guest speaker for the 2007 Arthritis Symposium presented by Poudre Valley Health System on September 29th, for Qwest Communications on October 30th and for the Lupus Foundation of Colorado on November 6th.
