Guest guest
Terri, what kind of pitcher did you use? I have a Brita pitcher & the filtered water is clear. Sometimes there are little carbon specks in the top part, but not in the water. I don't want someone to avoid the pitchers for fear of getting black water. The faucet filters are good too; my brother's family used one for years. I have no idea what they cost; do you know? That is why I wantthe filter for the faucet. Maybe I wouldn't get as much carbon thatway. I know it is harmless but it isn't pretty when you serve someoneblack water.I started drinking bottled water when they added chloromine on top ofthe chorine and you could smell it when you turned the tap on. I amcareful not to reuse the bottles and I know the plastic can leach intowater if it is objected to heat ie -getting hot in the car.I have to wait until Steve comes back from Hawaii because we have anadapter on our kitchen faucet to fit the portable dishwasher so now Ihave to get him to look at it and see if both can go on the waterfaucet. BTW, my ice is filtered in the icemaker so it doesn't make mydrink taste like el crappo. So don't worry, I worry about these things. I am thinking aboutstarting my own compost in the spring so that would cut down on thegarbage that goes in the landfill.Terri G. Can you find the hidden words? Take a break and play Seekadoo! Guest guest
Rose, It was not a Brita but it was a name brand. It had two filters and was quite large. I rinsed the filters for the required amount of time to remove excess small particles but it didn't work. I even went through the set up process a second time which made things worse. That is why I want to go to the faucet type. I don't remember the cost; I remember it wouldn't take long to pay for itself because of the high cost of bottled water. I try not to buy it without having a coupon, but that doesn't always work. I am already paying high costs for water at home without paying to buy water at the store. I just don't want the chemicals. My bm's and urine already smell like chemicals already so why do I want to add more. Well, I am sure that last sentence was TMI so I will go. Having a struggling type of a time right now so say a prayer for me. Terri G. > > > Terri, what kind of pitcher did you use? I have a Brita pitcher & the filtered water is clear.
