Guest guest
Liana, We have Tricare Prime and ours pays 100% but it has to be coded as a Dennis Brown Bar and the shoes have to be entered on a seperate line. Ours will only pay if we get a new bar each time (I offered our last new bar to someone of the CFSwap group). I found this out by calling the claims department for Tricare and they couldnt tell me what the code was but when I told our Limb and Brace company that provides our shoes, she was able to figure it out and code it properly. Im not sure if that helps you any.... Lori and Elijah 3.26.04 RCF atypical, DBB nights only

Maybe see if your ortho. place could code the shoes differently when they send in the paper work. Our explanation of benefits always says Medical Equipment Buy. I know programs are different in different areas, but I can't imagine them giving you a hard time about it! I know they are very hard to contact as well. Good luck! Insurance Hello everyone, I am once again having problems with my insurance company. For three months I had to fight them last year and they started to cover n's DBB, now they are telling me they will not pay again because it is considered a shoe. They had the doctor's send them information and all so they would pay, I keep explaining to them that this is a special case, but now I have to go through appeals. If any of you have information on this please let me know, I remember seeing someone write about a special code. My insurance company is Federal Blue Cross/ Blue Shield.
