Guest guest
Grace actually gets strep throat ALOT. In our house (we have 5 kids) it always seems to be going around. As soon as the first kid starts with the symptoms we have them, and Grace in the office for rapid strep cultures. Grace has always been positive when the others have been. Fortunatly we have always caught it with her before she gets fever or anything. We just start her on antibiotics and she is covered. Our doctor will also always send a culture to the lab if the rapid strep comes back negative. She does accept the positive as true and treats for that. Be carefull of the Roto Virus, it is a nasty one. It is typically found in babies and toddlers, but the older ones get it too. Grace had this two winters ago and was admitted for 5 days. YUCK! Guest guest
myst, my three children had strep so much the past two years that my boys both had their tonsils taken out in the spring. everytime anna grace (leighs) got strep, she was immediately treated and never had to be hospitalized...it would take her a couple days to feel better/act like her happy self, where the boys would be better within 24 hours. however, she also had roto virus a few years ago and did have to be hospitalized for that. hope they are feeling better soon. bethany mom to brennan 7, palmer & anna grace (leighs) 7 > > Hi guys... > > We just learned yesterday that my oldest daughter may have strep > throat...they sent it for culture, but we wont know for sure until > tomorrow afternoon.
